This 12-page brochure created a real challenge for CRSR Designs. Luxo Corporation wanted to promote their task and indirect lighting series with a concept called “Two-Component Lighting”. This concept was to be used to replace the common place practice of using overhead fluorescent lighting in commercial applications. Although the two-component concept is popular outside of the US, it is did not exist in LUXO’s portfolio of installations. It had to be created visually for illustrating how attractive and more appealing it is for work environments.

CRSR partnered with Willam Kent Schoenfisch, a public relations professional specializing in commercial lighting, and Bill Murphy photography, to create the settings for the two-component lighting installations. The CRSR team used the Meridian Furniture Showroom in Chicago to mimic applications of the concept. The team visited the showroom to scope the potential situation and decide on which fixtures would be installed for hard-wiring, and task lighting to be shipped as companions in five settings. A residential setting was also used in Ulster County. The brochure features vellum fly sheets with both indirect and task lighting fixture listings.
