CRSR was hired in 2011 to develop a short-term sales boost marketing communications plan for Tractor Mac Children’s Books, a self-published author-illustrator selling books on-line through their website and Amazon, as well as with in-person appearances at their local and regional farm-markets and other venues. Their goal was to increase overall book sales by 20% and to craft a messaging platform to be used to communicate about Tractor Mac in social media and beyond.

The initial program included a Facebook sweepstakes, social media management, e-blasts to existing customers and sweeps participants, and personal appearances by the author. The three-month program resulted in a 200% increase in sales for the quarter and a sustained 20% increase in the yearly overall sales. Tractor Mac has extended their request for services into media relations, web development, online advertising and overall strategic consulting.

CRSR continued efforts succeeded in increasing Facebook followers and sales consistently over the relationship. It was ultimately the marketing programs that CRSR created which were in part responsible for helping Tractor Mac to secure a publishing contract through MacMillan Books in 2015.
